Self-cleaning disc filtration equipment featuring the unique AIR ASSISTED BACKWASHING system is ideal in applications with high organic and sticky particle loads, such as open seawater or freshwater catchments, industrial process water reuse, graywater reuse or wastewater reclamation.
The units are composed of batteries of 1 to 10 AZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC Ø2″ filters with AZUD MG/WS discs, which perform 3D depth filtration, installed in line on Ø2″-Ø8″ inlet/outlet manifolds. It includes Ø2″ 3-way membrane backwash valves and the innovative AZUD DLP TECHNOLOGY, which allow the sequential low pressure cleaning of each filter using a mixture of filtered water and compressed air stored in an auxiliary tank, while the supply of filtered water continues downstream.
The patented AZUD HELIX anti-clogging baffle ensures reliable filtration thanks to the centrifugal separation effect, with less frequent cleaning and lower water and energy consumption.
